Wells – Dulcote Hill
There is a large car park at Morrisons in Wells (marked on the map) with a 3 hour time limit. The entire path is suitable wheelchair users, and open to equestrians. There is one significant section at Dulcote Hill where the gradient is 1:15.

Ancient woodland and views of Wells Cathedral
The path starts at the outskirts of Wells, and was built in 1996, at the same time as the Wells relief road. It skims the edge of ancient woodland of Park Wood, a 13th century oak plantation. The Strawberry Line follows the old railway line until Dulcote comes into view, at which point it drops off the Victorian embankment in order to eventually go underneath the busy A371 at Dulcote underpass, after which it climbs again (at 1:15) to reach the old Worminster road (which has been in disuse since 1996). It follows this road until Dulcote Quarry entrance, where the path ends for now. It is hoped that another 600 metres or so will be opened in the late summer, taking the path to the tip and around it.
