Out of Shepton Mallet
Access
There is a car park by the Shepton Mallet recreation ground (marked on the map). The path is suitable for wheelchair users, with shallow gradients and a good, wide hard surface.
Shepton Mallet recreation ground – Ridge Lane
This short section runs past a fully restored drystone wall (which is delightfully fronted by snowdrops as part of the Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Festival in February) before entering a shallow cutting. At the western end, the path gently ramps out of the cutting to an adjacent field before reaching Ridge Lane and the infilled Three Arches Bridge.
